The roof was made of Alwitra VSK, with a 50mm aluminum drip-edge, and the client was satisfied with the results. The client asked for our assistance with the installation of a warm roof extension as part of a rehabilitation project for this project. We decided to build a 35m2 expansion after reviewing the request with the client. Installing an Alwitra VSK single-ply membrane that was firmly attached to the 18mm hardwood ply deck was required for the job. To ensure complete adhesion once placed, an SKL Alwitra primer was utilized. We chose Alwitra VSK since it not only matched the building's appearance but also gave an exceptional lifespan. Installation of additional termination bars and cover straps was also omitted, saving time and money. Alwitra VSK is a versatile membrane that works well in a box gutter, such as the one on Lilliput Road. It could be installed in one piece from the flat roof deck to the box gutter and along the perimeter edge. Finally, a 50mm aluminum drip-edge was applied to the fascias to complete the installation. The client was delighted with the end outcome as well as the money saved by our team.
