PARLEY – DORMERS

A RECENT PROJECT SAW US TAKE ON A UNIQUE TASK FOR A CLIENT IN PARLEY.

They wanted a membrane installed on their dormer to match the rest of their house. To achieve this, the client requested that we apply a zinc-colored finish to the dormer so that it matches the tiles around it. This was work that needed to be accomplished for the least amount of money possible. This project had its share of difficulties, the most significant of which was the cost. Because zinc is a costly substance to employ, finding a suitable high-quality substitute proved problematic. We had to make sure the dormer looked well for the client while also maintaining structural integrity. Finally, our creative team presented the customer with a less expensive option that had the same fantastic design for a fraction of the cost. We chose a slate grey membrane with standing seam profiles, which we glued to the wood around the dormer. To guarantee that the membrane was watertight, we produced metal capping that was fastened to the timber. Overall, the project produced a gorgeous dormer that completely satisfied the client.
