BRANDERS LANE CHRISTCHURCH

ONE OF OUR RECENT PROJECTS TOOK PLACE IN CHRISTCHURCH, WHERE A CUSTOMER REQUIRED US TO REPLACE A ROOF FOR THEM.

Before she brought the property, the client had a recent survey done on it. She was well aware of the underlying issues caused by the poorly built felt roof, which had begun to disintegrate shortly after she had purchased the property. The Flat Roofing Company was approached by the client to help her with her concerns. We all agreed that the greatest choice for preventing future difficulties and ensuring longevity and performance was to combine the two. The existing felt roof was deteriorating terribly, with portions of searing water beneath the previously installed felt system. It's difficult for me to comprehend how this could have been installed for a customer. We completed a complete strip down to the existing joists and insulation, which were discovered to be in relatively decent shape considering the circumstances. On existing joists, new 18mm marine plywood was put, and a new skylight opening was made. A fresh ply substrate was thoroughly bonded to Evalon VSK. The parapet wall was re-ply and membraned after the old ridge tiles were removed. The existing ridges were then placed once the project was completed.
